City National buys majority stake in Lee Munder Capital Group - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):

Terms of the deal, which is expectec to close in thethird quarter, were not City National will merge Lee Munded with , a Boston-based institutional asset managemenrt firm in which City Nationalp holds a majority interest. The new companu will operate under the Lee Munder Capital Group name and as an affiliat eof LLC, the Chicago-based asset management holding company that City National acquirecd in 2003. The combined company will have morethan $4 billion of assets under management and serve as City National'z primary institutional asset management affiliate.
"The combined firm will have the managemenft andinvestment talent, financial strength, infrastructurr and marketing capabilities neededf to grow and provide clientds with long-term investment performance and superior service," Richard Gershen, executive vice presiden of wealth management for City said in a statement.
